Louise Thompson

Louise Thomas a Nursery Manager from Hertfordshire, was horrified when she stepped onto the scales in January of this year and saw her weight at 16 stones. With the festive period behind and her 30th birthday fast approaching, the busy mum of one was in need of some motivation, help and expert guidance when tackling the battle of the bulge.

Louise joined Kick Start Fat Loss (KSFL) group Mill Hill and Barnet, ran by Franchisee Esther Shortt. Kick Start Fat Loss (KSFL) is a lifestyle that puts the boot to processed, package foods and instead focuses on natural home cooked clean foods that nourish and strength your body from the inside out. The transition to clean eating was easy for Louise as she had always enjoyed home cooked foods and the lack of restrictive calorie counting also came as welcoming change. Louise quotes – ‘I used to eat home cooked meals anyway but would then top my meals up with lots of carbs, such as big portions of rice, bread and pasta’.

Breakfast – High sugar cereal, coffee

Louise quotes ‘the plan is easy to follow, I feel satisfied after meals ,I feel good about myself, my skin and overall health and the support network from Esther Shortt and the online KSFL plan is amazing, really helpful and encouraging’

Fast forward four months and Louise has lost an incredible 38lbs, taking her from a size 18-20 down to a size 14. A health assessment also revealed that her blood pressure, BMI (Body Mass Index), glucose levels had all reduced. The weight loss has given her a new found love of fitness and she now trains at the gym 3 times a week plus yoga sessions. Louise feels confident, strong and has started her thirties in style. Her advice to others – ‘Support and encouragement is the key on the journey -always to have a goal in mind, it really does help.’
