Here at KSFL we promote eating organic and natural products as much as possible and this is why:

Organic is all about working with nature and promoting higher levels of animal welfare, lower levels of pesticides, no manufactured herbicides or artificial fertilisers PLUS more sustainable management of the land which is great for wildlife.

Organic products promote a better world and better health.

These are the statistics according to the Soil Association on why Organic is better:

•organic milk and meat contain around 50% more omega-3 fatty acids than non-organic.
•organic meat had slightly lower concentrations of two saturated fats
•organic milk and dairy contains slightly higher concentrations of iron, Vitamin E and some carotenoids
•organically produced crops (cereals, fruit and vegetables) up to 68% more antioxidants than non-organic.
•organic fruit and veg contain lower concentrations of pesticides and the toxic heavy metal cadmium.

 

With the rise in diet related illness the best thing we can be doing is putting quality food into our diets and cutting out the toxins.

Organic food is available from most supermarkets or local farm shops.
